What we love-
- A smooth all over finish, great for under figure hugging tops and dresses
- A T-shirt bra with a smooth unpadded finish.
- The cups are lightly moulded and will give you a rounded shape.
- Narrow adjustable straps for use under singlets and sun dresses
- More generous back for extra comfort
- really lovely and light, great for warmer weather
- Very comfortable
- A wide wire for extra comfort and a neater fit
- Great for smaller busts and wider backs due to the comfort and the shape
- Great for those with narrow or sloping shoulders as the straps are nicely centralised
- Very firm knitted fabric for good support, no real stretch to it
- Standard sizing- No huge changes needed
- A very neat fit as it isn't too long in the cup nor too short, so it won't sit heavily on the ribs and you won't have spillage out the front due to the slightly higher neck line.
Something to think about-
- Unpadded, so you may see the nipple, though it is a thicker fabric
- A natural shape, without the shape and support of contour padding or seams, there's only so much you can do, so though it still gives a good shape, you won't get the height of a more structured bra
- If the Joy doesn't fit well through the cup, you may get bagging in the centre of the cup as there is no stretch. If you feel this may be a concern, you may want to consider the Chantelle 1891 C Magnifique. 1891 is made of a double layer of stretch so it smooths over the bust line very nicely.
- Because of the lack of seams if you are a little longer through the bust line you may find the Joy will sit a little too low on the body.
- Tends to be better on bust lines from B cup through to the E cup (our DD) It definitely can work on the fuller busts over DD, but it is a bit risky.
